Acts 9:17-19

And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

“Ananias went…”

I’ll say it over and over again…God loves obedient men/women. The obedience of the servant creates the opportunity of blessing. If you want to be blessed….bless others. It’s just that simple. There are some fundamentals that are just undisputable.

The New King James, the KJV, and the NIV all record that immediately Saul’s eyes were healed and his sight was restored. The Message Translation records it this way, “No sooner than the words left his mouth.” The New Living Translation says “instantly”. Just like that change is birthed. There is an acute awareness of our iniquity before us. Some things are immediately healed and restored and then there are some that leave with time, as we grow closer to the One who is able.

What a wonderful testimony. What a wonderful chapter…but it isn’t over…it is just beginning…

The murderer is now sitting down at a meal with Brother Ananias. I bet he never saw that coming. You kill those that want to kill you…not make them dinner…but that is what we see now. They are sitting, eating, and fellowshipping with one another.

Saul, the guy that had penned up all the warrants of arrest, penned this to the Romans years later…

Romans 1:16-17 (Message Translation)

Its news I'm most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God's powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! God's way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: "The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives."

I hope you are really living!
