Acts 8:27-31

So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked. "How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

This wasn’t coincidence that Philip met this man on the south road…this was a God ordained moment. Philip is living the adventure of his life…Literally God is leading him in the way he should go…and listen…that is how it is…you don’t know what you are doing next sometimes…sometimes you are just told to go…so you do it…and it leads to great experiences and it leads others to Christ.

I think what I loved the most in this scenario is the fact that Philip could’ve stayed in Samaria. After all Samaria was hopping with excitement while Philip was there. It doesn’t make any sense to leave a place where you have found absolute success. But hear me…God so loved Ethiopia that He sent Philip away from a successful city wide ministry and back onto the “desert road.”
