A season has changed. It's another year...that being said "I'm back!"

I've got a lot of updating to do over the next few months...it's been a crazy few years of ministry...but I'm still here...and that isn't a testimony to my strength or commitment...it is a testimony to the grace and mercy of God!

That being said...let's start off this first post with a bit of a rant...

Matthew 6:6

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you."

Facebook is YOUR face on YOUR book, (not much different than "MYspace"). Our culture is one that promotes SELF. There is big money in it. Here is the thing tho...

We've got to be careful to not take a GOOD thing and make it a GOD thing (to qoute Mark Driscoll). While social media can be used by God, it isn't God. We are warned in Matthew 6 that there are some relationships that are meant to be private. Jesus actually uses those who publically pray, just so they could be seen doing it, as an example of how not to be. We've got to be careful in our heart that we're not living out loud on Facebook...just for affirmation. I am so leary of those that need to show us how "Christian" they are. I don't think that is the case with everyone...but it's quickly becoming our culture that PERCEPTION is more important than reality.

Last thing...Your legacy is not going to be based off who you were on Facebook. Your legacy will be directly related to how well you invested into people...which, by the way...is the greatest investment you can make in life.

First post down...many to come...I am ninja...
